7-Day Ramadan Reset
In the next few minutes we'll walk through a simple seven-day reset that smooths the first Ramadan days, and at the end I’ll reveal the single habit that cuts early-Ramadan headaches.
Body clock shock
Ramadan flips your daily timetable overnight. The usual chai at eight, lunch at one, dinner at nine, and midnight sleep all disappear, leaving a throbbing noon headache, sluggish gut, and a dry, sand-paper mouth. Your body is basically a clock, and when the schedule breaks, it protests.
Day 1: Count cups
Start by noting every cup of chai, coffee or cola you sip today. Most people are surprised by the hidden extras. Then, drop the last cup of the day to begin easing caffeine withdrawal. This small step eases the caffeine crash and sets a calmer rhythm for the days ahead.
Caffeine limit
Healthy adults usually stay under four hundred milligrams of caffeine per day.
Day 2: Shift meals
Move breakfast half an hour to an hour earlier, and push dinner the same amount later. Same portions, just a wider eating window that mirrors Ramadan’s early-morning and late-evening meals.
Day 3-4: Test sehri & spread water
Set a 4:30 am alarm, eat a tiny plain sehri, drink two glasses of water, then practice sipping a glass each hour through the night to stay hydrated.
Day 5-6: Fibre, fruit & nap
Add a salad and a piece of fruit to dinner, swap a white roti for whole-wheat, and try a short twenty-minute nap after lunch in a dim spot.
The one habit
The single habit that makes the first Ramadan days feel like day ten is simply dropping your last cup of chai or coffee each day.
