Everyday Headache Hacks

In this video we’ll walk through common home remedies and reveal the single habit that can end most everyday headaches.

Identify Your Headache

First, know what you’re dealing with. Tension headaches feel like a tight band across both sides and a stiff neck. Migraines throb on one side, bring nausea and hate light. Simple dehydration or hunger headaches are dull all over and fade once you hydrate or eat.

Drink this much

The recommended amount is 250 milliliters, roughly one full glass.

Water & Food

A full glass of water and a light bite can stop many afternoon headaches. Dehydration and low blood sugar are common culprits, and fixing them often ends the pain within an hour.

Menthol Balm

Rubbing menthol balm on the temples gives a cooling sensation that can distract nerves from the ache. It works for adults with tension headaches but isn’t recommended for children, and it doesn’t help migraines much.

Ginger Tea Prep

If caffeine fits, brew a ginger tea. Slice about ten grams of fresh ginger, simmer in a cup of water for four to five minutes, add a splash of milk if you like, then sip slowly over ten minutes. One cup is enough.

Kali Mirch Paste

The spicy kali mirch paste that many swear by has no solid evidence and can be a waste of time. It’s best to skip it and stick to the simpler measures.

Typical relief

Most simple remedies start working within about one hour.

The one habit to try

The single most effective habit is simple: drink a full glass of water and have a light snack. It resolves many tension, dehydration, and caffeine-withdrawal headaches within about an hour.
